ING Direct

Who has experience with them? I am thinking of opening an online savings account, but they require you to link your checking account, and I'm just a little nervous doing that.

I've had accounts with ING since around 2003. I seriously *heart* ING. I have both checking and savings with them, and have had not one problem. (I also made around $250 from referral fees over the years - you send someone a referral link/email, and if they sign up through that link, they get $25 and you get $10.)

I've had accounts with ING since 2005. I haven't had a problem with them. My only concern is that Capital One bought INGDirect recently - no doubt the interest rate will drop to everybody else's rate.

I have been with them s ince 2006. No problems at all. I have my checking account (local) linked with them and make transfers every month.

I agree. We have ING for one of our savings accounts and it works out really well. No worries on that front, it should lead to no problems! They are probably our second favorite bank after USAA, where we have banking and also insurance policies. They are amazing.

Thanks for the reminder Jerry. I need to join. My local credit union gives us 2.65% on checking up to $25,000, so while I still have savings and checkings at ING, I rarely do anything with them. It is pretty much our emergency money at this point. Never had a problem. Always friendly help on the phone, etc.
